RE: Solar Panels

We did 390watts (3 x 130w) We have had almost endless power. There is really no right answer that fits everyone but the with solar pretty much bigger is better.

RE: cell signal booster

I have the Wilson amplifier http://www.wpsantennas.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2
and the Wilson Truckers antenna. http://www.wpsantennas.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=3
I am not sure where I bought these this is just where I googled them this time.
I also got a suction cup thing http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=46134 and use it to mount the antenna only when needed.
This setup works Excellent.
Every time I have used it because of no signal or weak signal I have had Full strength with it hooked up.

On my last trip I saw someone had a genny in a plastic dog house. It looked like the dog house split in two (Top and bottom).

RE: Norcold N621 cooling issue

The hottest I have camped in is Sarasota FL 93 or 94 degrees and my N641 had no problem keeping things cold but I was not in the sun I was semi shade.
You might try to add a small computer fan to the outside blowing up and see if that helps keep the air flowing through the cooling fins on the out side.

RE: wheel temps 3 same 1 diferent?

I would check and adjust the brakes. Also make sure there is grease in the bearing and finally that the bearings were not over tightened when reinstalled

RE: How often do you sanitize your fresh water system ?

I always keep water in my tank. We use the water for all uses including cooking and drinking making coffee, tea etc..
I sanitize mine once or twice a year. using 1 cup of bleach per 40 gallons, fill tank run water through every tap let sit 8hrs min drain, fill, flush.
I never connect a hose to my RV unless it goes through our filter.
I dose any well or non chlorinated water when I fill the tank using 1 tablespoon per 10 gallons this insures enough chlorine to protect the water while in sitting in the tank.

I have Full strength every where I have used it. Before I would have only 1 bar in some places.
I have the same setup. I have my antenna on the ladder and run the coax through the slide seal. It works as intended, BUT!
Over the last couple of years my signal quality has increased measurably. I have Alltel, but I suspect all companies are improving to gain customers.
The equipment isn't cheap, so I would try yo verify coverage loss before buying it.
Perhaps you can ask the members here about the areas you're worried about.
I agree they are improving quality but I am at a campground right now where I have no connectivity with out the amp and antenna. I have full strength with.
Also remember even though you can connect without the amp and antenna with only one bar of signal strength in some areas. The connection speed really suffers. When you hook up the antenna and amp then you have full strength and full speed.

RE: Different solar install questions

I am new to solar my self but I made my own mounts and I made brackets to be able to tilt them. I have yet to tilt them and the batteries are staying charged.
From all the reading I have done it would be good to be able to tilt them so I would plan on having mounts that allow tilting.
You should absolutely get an mppt charge controller. I got the Blue Sky 3024i Charge Controller with the IPN Pro remote with 500a Shunt & Temperature sensor, This is a really nice package. It really informs you about the state of your batteries.
